APLA SCHOLARSHIPS AND SUBSIDIES
PLANC is excited to announce the APLAs are collectively allocating more than
$100,000
in scholarship funds and subsidies to help pre-law advisors attend PLANC 2024!

Each APLA has its own application process and requirements which are listed below. All require an applicant to be a member of that particular APLA and work as a pre-law advisor at a school in that APLA region (Pre-law advisors in states that overlap regions should reach out to the appropriate APLA boards with any questions about eligibility). Some require that the applicant seek out and exhaust funding options at their college or university before applying for APLA funding. Additional APLA-specific requirements and details can be found in the respective application links/forms. Please note each APLA's application deadline!

Midwest Association of Pre-Law Advisors
Applications must be completed and submitted by February 21.
Notification of scholarship awards will occur on or before February 29.

MAPLA will provide up to $2,500 per awarded scholarship to support MAPLA attendance at PLANC 2024. Priority will be given to PLAs who (1) are working as a pre-law advisor in the MAPLA region, (2) are an active and engaged member of MAPLA, (3) agree to attend and participate in the MAPLA Business Meeting at the PLANC conference, (4) are willing to engage with MAPLA through conference and webinar presentations, volunteering at the conference, running for the MAPLA Board, and/or other MAPLA engagement, (5) stay at the conference hotel (InterContinental NOLA).

Northeast Association of Pre-Law Advisors
Applications must be completed and submitted by March 31.
Recipients will be notified by April 12.
​
NAPLA will provide up to $2,000 per awarded scholarship to help NAPLA members attend PLANC 2024. Eligibility requirements include (1) working as a pre-law advisor in the NAPLA region, (2) having requested and been denied full or partial funding from home institution, (3) agreeing to attend the full PLANC conference, (4) must stay at the conference hotel (InterContinental NOLA), (5) willing to complete a post-conference survey providing feedback to the NAPLA Board.
Pacific Coast Association of Pre-Law Advisors
Limited scholarships will be offered on a rolling basis.

PCAPLA will be offering limited scholarships to attend PLANC 2024 for individuals who work as a pre-law advisors in the PCAPLA region. Information on how to apply for a scholarship will be available through the PCAPLA website above as details become available.
Southern Association of Pre-Law Advisors
Applications were due February 9.
​
SAPLA will provide up to ten scholarships (up to $2,000 each) to support SAPLA attendance at PLANC 2024. Eligibility requirements include (1) working as a pre-law advisor in the SAPLA region, (2) being active and engaged in SAPLA, (3) having requested and been declined funding from home institution, (4) agreeing to attend the full PLANC conference, (5) must stay at the conference hotel (InterContinental NOLA), (6) willing to complete a post-conference interview and/or provide a follow-up program for SAPLA members.

Southwest Association of Pre-Law Advisors

Applications must be completed and submitted by February 25.
​
SWAPLA is providing subsidies to help SWAPLA members attend PLANC 2024. Eligibility requirements include (1) working as a pre-law advisor in the SWAPLA region, (2) being a current SWAPLA member, (3) registering for the conference during the early bird window (or committing to do so), (4) agreeing to attend the SWAPLA Business Meeting at the conference, (5) must stay at the conference hotel (InterContinental NOLA), (6) must attempt to utilize any/all other funding sources.
Western Association of Pre-Law Advisors

Applications will be considered on a rolling basis until May 1
or until funds have been exhausted.
​
WAPLA will provide up to $2,500 per awarded scholarship to help WAPLA members attend PLANC 2024. Eligibility requirements include (1) working as a pre-law advisor in the WAPLA region, (2) being a current WAPLA member, (3) agreeing to attend and participate in the WAPLA Business Meeting at the conference.
