PLANC's THIRD NATIONAL CONFERENCE IN SAN DIEGO
NO BETTER TIME . . .
NO BETTER PLACE . . .
NO BETTER OPPORTUNITY
NO BETTER TIME
- Scheduled at the height of the admissions process, this will be the
only time this fall where prelaw advisors, their associations, law
school representatives and LSAC officials will be in the same place at
the same time.
- This will be the only NATIONAL convention for four years.
NO BETTER PLACE
- A bell weather state on the Pacific rim, California is confronting the
most important and controversial issues of our time regarding prelaw
advising.
- Each of us every year advises several students considering California
Law Schools. This conference will provide a comprehensive presentation
of the clear differences and subtle nuances of studying and practicing
law throughout the Golden State.
NO BETTER OPPORTUNITY
- Through structured workshops, special events and less formal gatherings
this conference is designed to create a remarkable forum to share ideas
with experienced advisors, national experts, law school representatives
and officials from LSAC.
- Keynote speakers are jurists, authors and activists of national repute
including Peter Irons who went to jail on principle and Harvard on
purpose. His writings include A People's History of the Supreme Court.1
1Professor Irons left the bracing airs of New England to
work in the warmer breezes of our host city. We would like to extend a
special invitation to our colleagues from NAPLA (and MAPLA?) to follow
suit, at least for a few days in November!
